SHAMROCKnROLL RACE
The 2019 race will honor the memory of Samantha Davis, a senior runner from Union Pines High School who passed away in September 2018 after collapsing at a cross country meet. A portion of race proceeds and donations will be used in her name for either a scholarship or in another legitimate way after consulting with the school and Samantha’s family.

The 7th Annual ShamRock ‘N Roll Road Race to benefit Moore County Schools

shamrocknroll1On Saturday, March 14, 2015 the Village of Whispering Pines, will host the 7th annual ShamRock ‘N Roll Road Race benefiting Moore County Public
Schools. Last March over 100 volunteers worked together to make the 1 mile, 5k and 10K distance races enjoyable for the approximately 1,000
participants who gathered from across the country. Since inception, the race has contributed over $50,000 to further its mission.

shamrocknroll2Event Director Jill Saunders will be partnering with the Public Education Foundation of Moore County http://www.ncmcs.org/page/625 , & guest Andrew Lyons to allow for proceeds to benefit students and teachers through grants.

The mission of the Public Education Foundation is to encourage excellent educational practices in Moore County public schools by providing financial
support and recognition for creative, engaging learning experiences. As an added incentive to our community’s youth, all kindergarten through 12th
grade students and faculty in Moore County, public and private, are eligible to receive discounted registration fees.

shamrocknroll3Once again, the event is a feature race in the very popular spring Sandhills Race Series, presented by the First Health Center for Health and Fitness.
The ShamRock ‘N Roll has become a Moore County favorite and has been successful because of community support. Many individuals and businesses
support the race financially and we invite others to build on that support. Sponsors are recognized with logo placement on race shirts as well as on
other promo materials. More event and sponsor information can be found by visiting www.shamrocknrollrace.com or https://www.facebook.com/ShamrocknRollRace.

Registration online at by clicking on Active.com or download the paper form at www.shamrocknrollrace.com.
