USGA Manager, Katherine Thigpen and Pine Needles President, Kelly Miller, discuss the 2nd annual U.S. Senior Women’s Open Championship to be held May 16th – 19th.
The USGA is known for including special access, clinics and activities for kids, and this year’s Championship is no exception. Children under 18 receive free admission to the 4 day event.
The U.S. Senior Women’s Open celebrates some of the most storied legends in women’s golf, past and present, including future Hall of Fame inductee, Peggy Kirk Bell. The LPGA stars from the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s will be on hand for this championship.
Pine Needles will also be the host club for the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open.
Kelly Miller has been a part of the Pine Needles family since the early 1980’s. The family today represents the very best of “The Home of American Golf” with both the Pine Needles and Mid Pines Resorts; both of which feature Donald Ross designed golf courses.
