Frank McNeill for Congress

Frank McNeill is running for the congressional seat in the 8th District in North Carolina.

Frank has been a life long resident of Moore County who graduated from Pinecrest High School in 1974 and Appalachian State in 1978 with a BS in Business Administration. Frank is currently the President of McNeill Oil Company, a three generation family owned business.

He has served as Mayor of Aberdeen, was a member of the Aberdeen Town Board and the Board of Education.

Frank and his wife Susan have three daughters and 3 grandsons. Currently he is the President of the Aberdeen Lions Club, a former vice chair and treasurer of the Moore County Democratic Party, and a past director of the Sandhills Area Chamber of Commerce.

Frank outlines his hopes, his dreams and his vision for the people of the 8th district, stretching from Fayetteville to Concord on the doorstep of Charlotte. The district includes all of Moore, Hoke, Montgomery, Stanly & Cabarrus counties and part of Cumberland and Rowan counties.

It’s his values and his vision of fairness, borne out of a lifelong record of public service, that comes shining through in this candid video of one of Moore County’s own.

APRIL HAPPENINGS – JUNIOR LEAGUE OF MOORE COUNTY, WOMEN OF THE PINES, PINEHURST CONCIERGE SERVICES

April is a busy month in Moore County and representatives from these three organizations fill us in on their upcoming events and mission statements.

President elect, Cynthia Davis is our leadoff guest and she guides us thru some the storied history and purpose of the Junior League of Moore County.  Special emphasis is placed on a current program – The Baby Box which the League is helping to introduce to Moore County.  www.babiesneedboxes.org.  Their Safe Sleep initiative is important because of the infant mortality rates in the U.S. & Moore County.

THE MIRACLE WORKER – JUDSON THEATRE COMPANY – JOHN JAMES

April 12th – April 15th – OWENS AUDITORIUM AT THE SANDHILLS COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The Miracle Worker is an iconic play about Helen Keller, her teacher, Annie Sullivan, and the family members of Helen Keller.  It’s moving, inspirational and heartfelt for anyone who has seen it as an award winning  play or movie.

Executive Producer and Moore County native, Morgan Sills speaks about this superb cast from NYC, as well as some of the local area talent.  The Judson Theatre Company also offers an Education Program which allows many younger people to take part in the Arts at no cost to them.
