Trinity Community Outreach Center

The Rev. Dr. Paul Murphy leads a lineup of guests from the Trinity Community Outreach Center to talk about an important fundraiser – MUSIC SPEAKS FAITH featuring the Murphy Family Ensemble on Aug. 23rd at the Owens Auditorium at the Sandhills Community College.

The evening will start at 6 p.m. with an expansive Silent Auction with numerous gifts donated by many of our Realtor members. Brittany Paschal & Melissa Holt head up the committee of our local Realtor Association helping to sponsor this event.

Additional guests include past Realtor Association chairperson, Anita Emery, Dr. Judith Kronin, the TCOC Educational Chairperson, Ms. Gloria McNeill, lifelong church member, and Paul’s son & award winning musician, Drake Murphy.

From Dr. Paul Murphy:

Underlying the musical conversation will be the ways in which various pieces of music speak to The theological perspectives of faith, hope, love, grace and community!

Here is a statement from the TCOC Chair, Dr. Judith Kronin:
The TCOC will serve the community youth with after school education programs which are designed to enable the children of the Southern Pines Community to master basic skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. We will then enable the children to apply these skills so that they become critical thinkers and independent learners. The venues and vehicles that will afford the students these opportunities include: a recording studio, dance lessons, music composition, writing classes, robotic training, Step training, science and math competition.

The TCOC building is located at 972 W Pennsylvania Ave behind the Trinity AME Zion Church.
