Rose Young started Imagine Moore Events back in 2017. Today, Imagine Moore Events handles business affairs, event planning, podcast/video conferences, seminars, ribbon cuttings, employee or client appreciation events & military ceremonies to name a few.
Rose and her husband have been married for close to 40 years and they have travelled and lived in many places around the globe.
Her story of how they selected Moore County to retire to and start this new venture is part inspirational and part ‘paying it forward’.
Imagine Moore Events is a full service event planning and design company.
It’s rare to find an individual who is Moore County born and raised. The Riddle family is a well known and respected family from Carthage. Victoria attended Moore County public schools and today is living at the family Century Farm in Carthage with her 7 year old daughter, Addison.
From the legacy her grandfather and father created as the John Deere Dealership 51 years ago, Victoria has taken over the reins of the family businesses and in between all her responsibilities has carved out a separate career as a successful real estate broker.
Her story of her family and her evolution into the family business as President of Riddle Equipment and the Riddle Group is inspirational and thought provoking.
Victoria lost her grandfather and father within a 4 year period 2011 & 2015: 2011 was the year the family John Deere dealership merged with Quality Equipment with over 28 John Deere Dealers.
Leona Riddle, Victoria’s mother, has a 30+ year tenure as a nurse at what is now known as First Health Hospital.
Sammy Riddle was always proud of his daughter, and her recollections and remembrances serve as a fitting homage to a man who has helped shaped Victoria’s outlook, disposition and place in a Moore County that is ever changing and growing.
Local lender, Laura Kurtz (910) 850-7194 is joined by Fore Properties real estate broker, Aja Riesberg (719) 291-2729 to discuss the lending landscape in Moore County in what has proven to be the most frenetic seller’s market in our memory.
Laura covers many topics including Credit scores, prequalification vs. preapproved letters, types of loans, appraisals, the relationship between attorney & lender, as well as great advice for first time buyers.
In early December, 1980, five men who had previous barbershop experience gathered at the Pinecrest Inn and began what was to become the Golf Capital Chorus, a group dedicated to four part harmony singing for the pure joy of it. In 1981 they agreed to organize a local barbershop chapter of SPEBSQSA, now Barbershop Harmony Society International. On August 17, 1981 they received their official chapter charter. Every year since then they have performed an annual show designed to appeal to all residents of the Sandhills. The proceeds from these shows and other events perform all benefit local charities. The Chorus has contributed a total of $105,000 to the Sandhills Children’s Center and has donated more than $370,000 to other area family oriented charities since its founding.
A big part of the Golf Capital Chorus’ mission is to support local children’s charities.
As the Chorus has grown, it has become more widely recognized.
The Chorus presently has about 45 members. The Chorus also has quartets available to entertain your group and to help us raise money for our charities.
