Many residents of Moore County have relocated here from somewhere else, and most have had to start from scratch to locate essential services, establish a social network, and feel comfortable that their new community is truly “home.” Newcomers of the Pinehurst Area is an organization that introduces new residents to one another and the community by providing social events and activities for its members.
Several members of the Newcomers group – Trudi Porter, Bill Berger, and Vicki Hancock – spoke with Bill Sahadi about the many activities we offer our members.
Hundreds of new Moore County residents, both full- and part-time, from all over the U.S. and Canada, are members of Newcomers. At $60 a couple or $30 an individual, your initial two-year membership costs less than one nice meal at a local restaurant. Our activities appeal to men and women, individuals and couples, and bring together people who form lasting friendships through shared experiences.
If you are athletically inclined, we have two weekly golf groups – one 18-hole and one 9-hole – as well as walking groups that meet several times each week. If you’re interested in seated games and activities, we offer monthly book discussion groups, bridge, Bunco, and Mah Jongg. Enjoy trying a new restaurant or socializing over tasty snacks and beverages? Then try any of our food-centered activities: Lunch Bunch, Dining Out, Fermented Fridays, coffee group, or a wine-tasting group. And so much more!
To learn more about Newcomers and our many activities, visit our web site: www.pinehurstnewcomers.com. To join Newcomers and get started participating, download and complete the membership application available on our web site home page, and send the application with your dues check to the address on the application form. RICHARD FLINT, BEHAVIOR NEVER LIES Part I
Celebrated author and motivational speaker Richard Flint, www.richardflint.com, joins us in our studio for two shows to discuss his best selling book, Behavior Never Lies. Richard recently spoke at The Summit in the Pines hosted and organized by the Pinehurst Southern Pines Association of Realtors at the Pine Needles Resort in Southern Pines.
As one of America’s top personal development speakers and coaches (he travels and speaks over 210 times per year and personally coaches many businesses and individuals from on the road), Richard has been successfully mentoring and quietly helping professional organizations, large and small businesses and individuals for over 30 years.
Considered a well guarded secret by companies and organizations due to his results, Richard Flint motivates, inspires, teaches and helps people and companies metamorphose into their ‘Power To Be’, so they can Do or Have anything they want. Interestingly, he does it without you having to set goals.
With his decade’s long professional experience in counseling and teaching at the University Level, he knows business organizations (both large and small) are made of individuals. He has the unique ability to ‘see’ and then train each person to perform to their strengths, while each one synergistically creates the momentum for the group to move forward. Many entrepreneurs, individuals and organizations have found his individual coaching exactly what they needed to propel them to the next level, both personally and professionally.
Richard Flint is on a mission (he calls it a Crusade) to help people have their best life possible. He knows how through his own experience.
Rejected by his birth mother, abandoned at 16 by his adopted family, who verbally abused him, Richard Flint has overcome challenges most of us find shocking — to living a fulfilling life. He is dedicated to helping others break free and create the life of their dreams. Remember you can BE, DO or HAVE your inner most hearts desire. Richard is here and dedicated to helping you get there the best and fastest way possible.
