A DISCUSSION ON FRACKING IN N.C.- Sept. 10th & 11th

Community Activist & Moore County resident Suzanne Coleman has assembled a panel of gov’t and environmental experts to discuss the many facets and concerns about fracking (hydraulic drilling) in N.C. House Minority Leader Joe Hackney, Executive Director of Clean Water for North Carolina, Hope Taylor, www.cwfnc.org and Southern Environmental Law Center attorney, Geoff Gisler, www.SouthernEnvironment.org discuss this issue in depth with host Bill Sahadi, and its many considerations, prior to the N.C. General Assembly reconvening this Monday, Sept. 12th to consider overturning Gov. Beverly Perdue’s veto of Senate Bill 709. (the fracking bill).

YOGA IN THE SANDHILLS

Bill Sahadi hosted Virginia Gallagher, owner of Hot Asana Studio and Boutique, John Tampa, Rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and yoga instructor, and Julie Tampa, Marketing Coordinator at Penick Village and yoga instructor. In honor of the 5th annual National Yoga month, this was a show about the many facets and benefits that yoga can provide; from what to expect when you walk into a yoga studio for the first time to Patanjali’s Eight-limbed path, it was an incredibly informative program.
