For almost 30 years, Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care has been providing emergency assistance to struggling families in Moore County. Founded in 1986 by twelve local churches, today the Coalition is led by Executive Director, Barrett Walker and receives support from individuals, businesses, and groups throughout the community.

Coalition provides as well as providing basic needs such as food clothing. Learn about the Coalition’s community events such as the Empty Bowls fundraiser on Feb. 21st, the new initiative of a Work Uniform Assistance Program, Shoes for Students and the Pack the Pickup Food Drive. Volunteers are obviously the heart of the Coalition and Barrett explains the many ways each of us can get involved to help the less fortunate in our community this holiday season.
