Rotary Club of Pinehurst 19th Annual Pancake Breakfast

The date is Saturday, May 20th, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Village Chapel.

This fundraiser provides monies for well deserving non-profits in Moore County including, but not limited to:

-Happy Feet – New shoes for disadvantaged youth

-McLean House & Hospice

-Habitat for Humanity Rotary Build

-Student Achievement Awards @ Sandhills Community College

An $8.00 donation will help the Rotary Club of Pinehurst reach their $20,000 goal.

100% of all donations go directly to the organizations earmarked.

OSTEOSTRONG PINEHURST

30+ year Southern Pines resident Kathy Virtue tells her personal story of a broken leg she suffered that led to discoveries about Osteoporosis and how her recovery led her to a detour from retirement into a passioned commitment to help others.

OsteoStrong is located at 160 Turnberry Way in Pinehurst. 910 692-6000.

Kathy explains in detail the process of how our bones regenerate and rebuild themselves and how the Spectrum System can monitor everyone’s progress.

OsteoStrong is a membership-based Integrated Health and Wellness Center. A monthly membership is $179.00 per month and includes 4-5 sessions. Kathy does not require an extended contract beyond one month.

THE ENCORE CENTER THEATRE – 2023-2024

Since its inception in 2019, the Encore Center stands alone as a shooting star on the Moore County landscape.

Founder Sarah Lankford, Company Manager, Becky Podlogar and Marketing & Social Media Manager, Marissa DiGregorio discuss the ambitious plans for the upcoming 2034-2024 season.

In addition to the upcoming May production of Sweet Delilah Swim Club, the Encore Center entails Summer Camps, a fall lineup of notable productions, and classes for students of all ages in Dance, Music, Theatre.

The Encore Center marries a passion for their craft with Community Outreach and the result is a meaningful enterprise with a servant’s heart and a dream come true for their founder and lifelong student of the Arts, Sarah Lankford.

CAROLINA HORSE PARK – CCI & HT – MARCH 16TH – 19TH

This event brings in Olympic riders from around the world, the best of the best!

Saturday, March 18th is the Carolina International. They will have a Vendor Village and Food Trucks every day but on that Saturday they will also have a
Kids Zone with a climbing wall, bouncy houses, face painting from 10-4pm. Everything is free and open to the public. On Friday and Saturday, the
Sandhills Trolley company is providing shuttle service at the event for all spectators.

Marc Donovan: Program Director

Marc came on board at the Carolina Horse Park in 2013 as organizer and originator of the highly successful Cabin Branch Event Series (now, War
Horse Event Series). He took over the role of organizer of the recognized events in the fall of that year and is the Event Director of the Carolina
International and Horse Trial. In 2016 he became Program Director of the Carolina Horse Park. Early in his riding career he showed Pony Hunters and
competed in the Equitation divisions. Marc was a member of the Meadow Brook Hounds Pony Club, in NY, and received his “A” rating. After graduating from
Emerson College, in Boston, he continued eventing to the CCI2* (currently CCI3*) level. Now a USEF “R” rated show jumping course designer, he brings
multiple skills to his job at the Park. Marc has and continues to design show jumping courses for all competitions at the Carolina Horse Park, the
AEC’s, multiple FEI events, World Cup Qualifiers as well as horse shows and grand prix in the US and Canada. Marc’s assisted Richard Jeffery at the
National Horse Show and Richard and Conrad Homfeld at the 2010 World Equestrian Games. He has also designed the show jumping courses for the
Gatcomb Park Horse Trials in the UK. In 2016, Marc was named to the USPC Academy of Achievement and the Professional Riders Organization honored him,
at the USEA Annual Convention, as an “extraordinary individual that positively impacted the sport of eventing through dedicated service and
support of horses, riders, and events”. Having first come to Southern Pines in 1989, Marc now resides in Whispering Pines, NC.

Shannon Habenicht: Director of Development and Communications

Has been involved with horses since elementary school. Been at the park for over 3 years – Development manager for 2 years, in current role for one
year. Manages all aspects of development for the park including sponsorships, fundraising, event planning, social media promotion, marketing. We own 4 horses and our daughter, Finley, is an eventer.
