DEC. 13th – 14th – PROJECT SANTA & TERPSICHORE’S UPCOMING NUTCRACKER

Earl Wright started Project Santa over 20 years ago and has tirelessly worked on providing & ditributing toys and bikes to needy children in Moore County at Christmas time. Earl, his wife, Shern, and volunteer Ming Gillis talk about this year’s collection drive and the experiences they have had over many past Christmas mornings at Bo’s Supermarket parking lot overseeing the happy faces on the children when they receive their bike. This year is no exception. Donations and bikes can still be given to Project Santa. Call Shern at 910 639-4048 or attend today’s fundraiser (Dec. 13th ) from 11:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m at Bo’s Supermarket parking lot.

The 22nd presentation of The Nutcracker will be presented by the well known Terpsichore Dance School of Southern Pines at the Owens Auditorium at the Sandhills Community College from Dec. 19th through Dec. 21st. Owner and teacher, Kellye Parks is joined by 4 of her students who have major roles in this years production and are all students at Pinecrest High School who have danced together in various roles throughout their formative years. Kellye’s family extends far beyond her daughter, Kasey, who was recently injured in a cheerleading accident & double cast as Dream Clara) to the many girls she has worked with over the past 20+ years.

More than the production itself, these four impressive young ladies talk about their life long experience with the Terpsichore Dance School, and the many valuable life lessons the teaching and coaching have provided to them  in their development as dancers and as people. Their revelations and honest assessments are heartfelt and encouraging to any parent who might consider entering their child into this fine program.

Sophmore Mary Costanza (playing the Arabian Princess), Junior Lexie Metzger (playing the role of Dream Clara), & seniors Annabelle Hale and Ryan Cooke (double cast as the Sugar Plum Fairy) are four young ladies with focus, direction, talent, discipline and grace.

Tickets are now on sale by contacting the studio at 910 695-1116
